Shorts 2: Ears Wide Open
Seven films with music at their center, weaving sounds from East and West, from jazz to electronic to pure human percussion. Choreographers interpret new compositions, and on-screen collaborations blur the roles of dancer and musician, generating original music as we watch, and listen. Featuring Indian dance superstar Shantala Shivalingappa as she highlights the detailed nuances of her accompaniment.
Followed by a special audience participation activity lead by filmmaker/choreographer Sandy Silva.
