The historical buildings of Cidade Matarazzo, in São Paulo, opened its doors to art in 2014. International artists set up rooms and laboratories in the site, a hospital abandoned for 20 years. The strangeness of the space, and its connection with the art works, were translated into dance by Irupé Sarmiento, soloist of Balé da Cidade de São Paulo Company.
A visual poem from decay to light, showing the transcendence of dance in the face of chaos. There are power and lightness, the rawness and the ambiguity of being. Crushing Weight is a film that talks about doubt.
