Screendance I

Compelling films from around the world that stir the soul and expand the screen.

This international program of longer-form screendance works invites you to sink into stories where dance and film become inseparable. Screendance I showcases poetic, poignant, and deeply cinematic works that explore cultural memory, personal transformation, and the beauty of movement in dialogue with the camera. From the deserts of Central Asia to quiet moments between hospice residents and dancers, these films offer space for reflection, healing, and awe. Whether tracing intergenerational wisdom, reframing ability, or bearing witness to injustice, each piece demonstrates the expansive potential of dance as both an art form and a language.
