Memory Of Forgiveness is a dance film inspired by the book 50 Years of Silence by Jan Ruff-O’Herne, a Dutch woman who was forced by the Japanese army to work as a sex slave in the Dutch East Indies (the Republic of Indonesia) during WWII. Based on the decision in her book — “I forgive the Japanese Army” — the film questions and challenges how we forgive others or ourselves in our daily lives.
