Portrait

“Portrait” is a cinematic adaptation of choreographer Dana Genshaft’s ballet of the same name, which premiered at San Francisco’s ODC Theater in 2016. Set to composer Max Richter’s Shadow Journal, it visually interprets the writer and political activist George Sand’s transformation as she challenges the norms of nineteenth century French society.
