May 16-17, 2026
A two-day virtual workshop in which participants explore Adi Halfin’s unique working methods and approach to dance film — examining tools of filmmaking across genres from music videos to experimental film, with a focus on intention, intuition, and the art of crafting visually captivating stories that lead audiences through the world of dance.
June 8, 2025
Open to the public (ages 16+), participants will have a unique opportunity to explore movement and creativity led by dance luminary Bobbi Jene Smith, whose work delves into themes of expression, freedom, and the contradictions within us. Smith will guide participants through a warm-up followed by immersive movement prompts (no structured choreography or repertoire).

Three-day motion capture workshops led by Cie Gilles Jobin, a Swiss dance company working at the forefront of dance and motion capture.

The class will demand a high-level of technical proficiency in classical ballet and will focus on blending technical skill and artistic expression.

Led by stage and screen star Amanda Schull, this workshop will focus on acting for dancers. It will also discuss other forms of acting for stage and camera.

LINES Dance Center’s Adult Dance Intensive intensive includes 13 sessions on a fantastic range of topics including one session with us, SFDFF! Clare Schweitzer and Alex Irwin will guide dancers through the process of creating dance films using materials you already have on hand.

Body Scripting Workshop

As seen in the film Enter the Faun, the experimental methods Tamar Rogoff used to transform the body of the young actor with cerebral palsy will be employed during the 2-hour long movement workshop.
